Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of goldengame.co and any related pages, newsletters, playtests, demo or beta builds, Discord servers, press materials and other services we provide (together, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of a company, publisher, investor or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. Some Services, including closed playtests, may set a higher minimum age, which will be stated at sign-up. If you are under 18, you may only use the Services with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on and through the Services is owned by GGC or its licensors and is protected by the intellectual property laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and international treaties. This includes our games (including Junklite: Crackdown), characters, artwork, music, trailers, screenshots, source code, builds, text, logos and the Golden Game Company name and branding.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to view the website and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, decompile or create derivative works from any part of the Services unless these Terms or we in writing allow it.

Press Kit. Journalists, content creators, publishers and partners may use the materials in our official Press Kit to report on, review or promote GGC and its games. You may not alter the logos or present the materials in a way that suggests GGC endorses you or your content without our written consent.

Content creators. You may stream and publish videos of our released games and public builds, including monetised videos, unless a specific build is under a confidentiality restriction (see Section 5).

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

break any law or regulation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or of the country you are in;
harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against any person, including other community members and GGC staff;
post content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, hateful, or offensive to public morals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
impersonate GGC, its team or any other person;
upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers, builds or accounts;
scrape, data-mine or use automated tools on the Services without our permission;
cheat, exploit bugs for gain, or distribute cheats or modified builds;
spam, advertise or solicit without our permission.

5. Playtests, Beta Builds and Discord Community

Access. Participation in playtests, demos and beta programmes is by invitation or application and at our discretion. We may limit, pause or end any test at any time.

Confidentiality. Unless we state that a build is public, all pre-release builds, features and information shared in playtests are confidential. You must not share, record, stream, screenshot, leak or distribute them without our written permission.

Build keys. Keys and builds are for your personal use only. You may not sell, share or transfer them.

Unfinished software. Pre-release builds are incomplete. They may contain bugs, crash, lose progress or behave unexpectedly, and progress may be reset.

Discord. Our Discord server is also subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and to the server rules posted there. Moderators may warn, mute, remove or ban users who break these Terms or the server rules.

6. Feedback and Submissions

If you send us feedback, suggestions, bug reports or ideas about our games or Services, you grant GGC a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, modify and incorporate them, without payment or credit to you.

We do not accept unsolicited game pitches, scripts or creative concepts, and we have no obligation to keep them confidential. Please do not send them unless we have asked for them.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services link to or integrate third-party platforms, including Steam, Discord, YouTube, X (Twitter), TikTok and LinkedIn. We do not control these platforms and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Purchases of our games are made through third-party storefronts such as Steam and are subject to that storefront's terms, including its refund policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Services, including all builds and demos, are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GGC makes no warranties, express or implied, that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free of harmful components.

Release dates, platforms, features and performance targets announced on the website are current plans and may change.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, GGC and its founders, employees, partners and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of data, profits, goodwill or game progress, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount, if any, that you paid directly to GGC for the Service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to compensate GGC for any claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Services, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections 3, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after termination.

12. Changes to the Services and These Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when these Terms were last changed. For material changes, we will post a notice on the website or notify registered playtesters by email or Discord. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms, and any dispute arising from or relating to them or the Services, are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We encourage you to contact us first at admin@goldengame.co so we can try to resolve any issue informally within 30 days. If it is not resolved, the competent courts of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have exclusive jurisdiction.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to an affiliate or successor. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and GGC about the Services.

If an Arabic version of these Terms is published and conflicts with this English version, the Arabic version prevails.
